What is the 2016 Institute Young Professional Program?

The objective of the Young Professional program is to (1) Showcase our upcoming younger Rotarian leaders through their responsibility to plan and execute the Friday Institute Program (2) Expose our younger Rotarian leaders to a wider range of thinking, resources, and communication in Rotary, and (2) Connect our Young Professionals, upcoming District leaders, and current Rotary leaders throughout Zones 25 and 26.

Every District may appoint Young Professional Leaders to attend the 2016 Institute. There may be up to 3-4 per District

  • Individuals who attended the fall 2015 Young Professional Summit will receive a direct invitation from the Young Professionals Chair Danielle Lallement.
  • In addition, District Governors may appoint Young Professionals to attend.

Criterion for the Young Professionals selection:

  • Rotarians who have exhibited leadership within a District or Clubs who are 45 years or younger at the time of the Institute.

What special role do the Young Professionals have in the 2016 Zone Institute?

The Young Professionals are responsible for planning and executing the
Friday day-of-service project, working with the Santa Barbara Boys & Girls club in Santa Barbara.
All Institute registrants will participate in this meaningful event.
This event in Santa Barbara will be the final stop of the Zones 25/26 Connecting for Good Bus Tour. The tour will begin in Honolulu, Hawaii in October, travel through many cities on the West Coast, and end at its final stop at the Zone Institute on Friday November 11th. The Young Professionals and Rotaractor on the bus will work with local clubs, participating in local community service projects in each community.
